How to keep your spices from clumping

Dry spices tend absorb moisture that's in the air so it is essential to keep the lid open for only a minimum amount of time. You can also prevent moisture intrusion by not sprinkling your spices directly from the container over a hot or steaming pot. Some people use dry beans or rice to act as a desiccant in effort to absorb any moisture that the spices might collect. Another tip would be to keep the lid clean so the jar has an air tight seal. Any residue on the lids can prevent it from fully closing creating a invitation for moisture.

*Do not have lid open for long periods of time

*Do not sprinkle spice jar over boiling water or cooking food

*Keep lid clean

We are now including a FDA approved food grade desiccant that is non toxic or poisonousness in each bottle. The packet does say do not eat because it could be a choking hazard.
